UYL is a community platform for the public to engage one another through harnessing the power of the performance arts and visual arts.
At UYL, we are committed to keeping this community safe and providing users a comfortable space to express themselves creatively. We deploy a combination of policies, safety tools, and online resources to ensure the same. Our Community Guidelines reflect our values and define a standard code of conduct for users. These guidelines provide general guidance on what is and is not allowed on the platform, and they apply to everyone and everything shared on UYL. We update our Community Guidelines from time to time to evolve with community behaviour and keep UYL a safe place for creativity and joy.
We do not allow people to use our platform to threaten or incite violence or promote dangerous individuals or organisations. When there is a credible threat to public safety, we handle the issue by banning the account and cooperating with relevant legal authorities. To effectively protect our community, we may consider the information available on other platforms and offline to identify violent and extremist individuals and organizations on our platform. We will close their accounts if we find such individuals or organisations on UYL.
We do not allow individuals or organisations on our platform to promote or engage in violence. We remove such individuals and organisations, including mass murderers, serial killers and rapists, hate groups, criminal organisations, terrorist organisations, and other non-state armed groups that target civilians.
Terrorists and terrorist organisations are non-state actors that threaten violence, use violence, and/or commit serious crimes (such as crimes against humanity) against civilian populations to pursue political, religious, ethnic, or ideological objectives.
Organised hate refers to those individuals and organisations who attack people based on protected characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, or immigration status. We consider attacks to include actions that incite violence or hatred, dehumanise individuals or groups, or embrace a hateful ideology.
Criminal organisations are transnational, national, or local groups that have engaged in serious crimes, including violent crimes (e.g., homicide, rape, robbery, assault), trafficking (e.g., human, organ, drug, weapons), kidnapping, financial crimes (e.g., extortion, blackmail, fraud, money laundering), or cybercrime.
